The field of medical testing has recently ushered in a major breakthrough, and microwave photonic fusion fiber sensing technology has successfully reduced the lower limit of tumor marker detection to 0.076ng/mL, which is one order of magnitude higher than the accuracy of traditional laser spectral demodulation schemes, providing a new technical path for early cancer screening. The results have been clinically verified by Shenzhen tertiary hospitals, and the relevant research has been published in top international journals in the field of optoelectronics.
The R&D team built a dual-wavelength laser sensing system through innovative micro-nano lasso structure and optical fiber grating parallel design, combined with dispersion delay microwave photon demodulation technology, to achieve a refractive index detection sensitivity of -1902GHz/RIU, which is 2-3 orders of magnitude higher than the traditional solution. In serum sample testing, the system can accurately distinguish between different concentrations of CEACAM5 tumor markers, and the test results are exactly matched to clinical data. According to international peer evaluations, this technology has achieved the deep integration of photonics and clinical detection, and is expected to reshape the technology pattern of early cancer screening.
